Homer, Alaska – Bunnell Street Arts Center announces a call for applications to the Ursa Major Fund, a grant opportunity for Alaska artists. Ten $6000 grants support artist-led, risk-taking, public-facing projects that inspire curiosity, engagement, dialogue and respect for cultural integrity. Apply September 1 – October 15, 2026 on Submittable. Ages 18 and up.
The Ursa Major Fund funded by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and administered by Bunnell Street Arts Center supports the independent, self-organized work of artists and artist groups. Ten $6000 grants allow artists to create work that engages their communities and experiment with new possibilities. Applications are adjudicated by a panel of jurors primarily from outside of Alaska. Awards will be made and announced in early 2027.
