All police dispatch centers are open 24/7. Real people will talk to you whenever you call 911.

Homer calls rarely get transferred to Soldotna. Although all mobile cell phones on the Kenai Peninsula that call 911 will go to Soldotna first, then will be transferred to Homer if your emergency is located in the Homer jurisdiction. Although, if you are in Homer jurisdiction and calling on a landline the call will come to Homer first.

911 should only be used when you have an emergency that requires you to need any of three things; police, emergency medical services, and or fire assistance. If there has been action taken or there is  imminent threat of  self-harm then call 911 to get medical attention.
